| It
starts off well, helping you establish why you want to
or need to deal with clutter,
for without a reason, or motivation, there is far less chance of
success. There’s a little bit on 7 organizing myths and 8
secrets
of getting started, before the chapters start. Each tip is quite in
depth, many explain not only what to do, but why you should do it. I like the great
ideas
submitted from contributors in a side column, along with the 3
Organizing Clinics – a Q&A area. I would have enjoyed
more of
those, as it reminds you that other people are in the same boat, and
have similar questions & dilemmas that you do. As well as
areas of the house to be dealt with, it is a great
source of information for
every member of the family, and how to integrate getting organized into
the family environment too. A whole 11 pages, one of the largest areas
of the book, are dedicated to sorting paperwork and filing –
a
worthwhile subject for most people! The e-book also
covered a wider range of subjects that I
wasn’t expecting – and I picked up some great ideas
for gifts, traveling and babysitters to name but a few.
The latter part
of the book focuses on your office environment,
and can apply equally as well in the office or if you are working form
home. I thought this was a fantastic section for budding entrepreneurs
who need a helping hand on remaining focused and organized when
starting out. I
think the 20 or so checklists and forms are really useful, that you can
print out to write on, or create a similar template on your computer to
keep an online record of your information – as long as you
remember to update them regularly! Creating good habits will go a long
way in helping you remain organized, so
bear in mind a little but of discipline is required if you are to
maintain your new found space & time freedom. It
suggests more than once that you can economize by buying in bulk
– just ensure you have sufficient out of the way space to
store
your goods, and not create more clutter for the next 3 years whilst you
work your way through it! |

| Don't
just take my word for it, here's what other people have said about
Finally Organized, Finally Free: I've read other publications on organization. Your book, Finally Organized, Finally Free is the first, however, that after reading, I said to myself, ‘Hey, I can do that.’ Many others I would laugh and say, ‘Yeah, right!’ The layout is simply exceptional. Yours is a COMPLETE guide to organizing! JoAnne Horvath Bowling Springs, PA |
